Im Anschluss an den Konsularsprechtag für deutsche Staatsangehörige im Kulturzentrum besuchte der Konsul der Bundesrepublik Deutschland Frank Urbschat Bürgermeister Hasan Sipahioğlu in seinen Amtsräumen.
Im Verlauf dieser Zusammenkunft bedankte sich Konsul Urbschat bei Alanyas Bürgermeister dafür, dass sich die deutschen Staatsbürger in Alanya wie Zuhause fühlen können und gerne hier leben.
Seit Alanya in den 50ger Jahren mit dem Tourismus Bekanntschaft geschlossen hat, gibt es in der Stadt ein Miteinander zwischen Einwohnern und Touristen. Speziell die Deutschen und die Alanyaner kennen und verstehen sich sehr gut. Aus diesem Grund bevorzugen immer mehr deutsche Staatsbürger Alanya als neue Heimat, äußerte Herr Sipahioğlu.
Des Weiteren gab der Bürgermeister Konsul Urbschat ausführliche Informationen zu den in Alanya sesshaften Deutschen, über den Ausländerbeirat, die Bettenkapazität der Stadt und die Hotels, die ganzjährig geöffnet sind. Das Zusammenleben mit unterschiedlichen Kulturen bezeichnete der Bürgermeister als eine Tradition des türkischen Volkes.
Konsul Urbschat hatte seinen Dienst in Antalya am 08. August 2008 angetreten. Gegen Ende seines Besuches bedankte er sich für die zahlreichen Möglichkeiten, die den Ausländern in Alanya zur Verfügung gestellt werden und kündigte an, dass er in regelmäßigen Abständen Konsularsprechtage in Alanya abhalten möchte.
