Nach der Katastrophe während einer Schaumparty, die am 22. Juli 2008 im Venezia Palace Hotel bei Antalya mit dem Tod zweier Hotelgäste und eines Animateurs endete, hat nun die Staatsanwaltschaft Antalya einen Prozeß angestrengt.
Bei dem Unglück waren Ende Juli zwei Hotelgäste aus Israel, Shay Hakim (18 Jahre) und Nir Hakim (14 Jahre) ebenso wie der Animateur Fikret Sakaci ums Leben gekommen. Dazu waren der Betreiber der Schaum-Maschine, Tuncay Duran, und Lanin Georgiy aus Kasachstan, verletzt worden.
Nun wurde gegen das Hotel Venezia Palace, das die Helikopterpiste des Hotels zur Veranstaltung der Schaumparty benutzt hatte, aufgrund fahrlässigen Verhaltens mit Todesfolge von der Staatsanwaltschaft Antalya verklagt. Der Grund: Das Hotel hatte es versäumt, dafür zu sorgen, daß sich die Anlage bei Kurzschlüssen automatisch ausschalten konnte.
Außerdem geht die Staatsanwaltschaft Antalya davon aus, daß der Betreiber der Anlage, Tuncay Duran, es versäumt habe, die betrunkenen Teilnehmer der Schaumparty daran zu hindern, die Maschine zu berühren, und auch sonst nicht die nötige Sorgfalt im Betrieb der Maschine habe walten lassen. Zusammen mit ihm ist auch der Generaldirektor des Hotels als Hausherr angeklagt.
Aufgrund der Mitschuld durch Fahrlässigkeit wird gegen die beiden nun eine Gefängnisstrafe von zwischen 3 und 15 Jahren beantragt. Der Prozeß soll im September vor dem 3. Strafgerichtshof Antalya beginnen.
Unterdessen hat der Gouverneur der Provinz Antalya bis auf weiteres die Organisation von Schaumparties in Hotels an der Türkischen Riviera verboten. Sie sollen erst nach der Etablierung strenger Sicherheitsvorkehrungen wieder zugelassen werden.
