Die Staatsanwaltschaft Alanya, untersucht den Tod des 31-jährigen Russen Vitalii Liakhov, der mit seiner Lebensgefährtin Olga Takreova, in Konakli Urlaub machte. Liakhov ging zum telefonieren in eine Telefonzelle; nachdem er den Hörer abnahm, brach er bewusstlos zusammen.
Nach Angaben der Geschäftsleute in der Umgebung, lag seit längerer Zeit ein offenes Stromkabel in der Telefonzelle, von dem wahrscheinlich Vitalii Liakhov einen Stromschlag bekam und tot zu Boden fiel. Der Todesfall und die Ursache wurden von der Türk Telekom und den Türkischen Elektrizitätswerken von einer Sonderkommission untersucht. Die Zuständigen der Türk Telekom waren zu einer Stellungnahme nicht bereit. Die Sonderkommission der Türkischen Elektrizitätswerke machte dazu ihre Aussage vor dem Oberstaatsanwalt Ali Yeldan und erklärte, dass Liakhov an Herzversagen verstorben sei. Die Lebensgefährten Liakhovs, Olga Tekrova, reiste zurück in ihre Heimat, Vitalii Liakhov bleibt bis zum Abschluss der Untersuchungen in der Leichenaufbewahrung im Krankenhaus.
