Für das Entfachen einer heißen Liebe genügte dem Ed ein simples Foto im Alanya-Boten. Ed, Holländer und einer dieser vor Jahrenzugewanderten Neu-Alanyer, verliebte sich rasch und unsterblich in unseren Zweithund Arap.
Arap, dieser Riesenschwarze mit dem weißen Latz und einer kleinen weißen Spur an einer Pfote, adoptierte uns im Dezember letzten Jahres. Wir kannten den anhänglichen Straßenköter seit seiner frühen Kindheit und ließen ihn nicht im Regen stehen, als er dem Schreiber nach vierwöchentlicher Abwesenheit seine große feuchte kalte schwarze Kartoffelnase mitten in Alanya in die Hand steckte. Der stubenreine Arap hielt uns im Sinne des Wortes auf Trab. Ein junger ungestümer Hund bei nicht mehr ganz jungen Menschen? Eine tägliche große Freude, aber was geschieht im Fall der Fälle?
Ed, der Holländer, sah das Foto, rief an, er wolle diesen Arap sofort zu sich nehmen.
Er habe in Holland einen riesenweißen Hund von achtzig Kilo gehabt, nach einem Leben mit Hunden. Der sei aber zu alt und hätte den Flug in Eds Neuheimat Alanya nicht überlebt. Eine gute Freundin biete seinem vierbeinigen Gefährten einen Hundealterssitz. Noch bis zu diesem einundzwanzigsten Januar nachmittags fünfzehn Uhr hofften wir, dass Ed ein Fiesling ist, dem wir unter keinen Umständen unseren großen Schwarzen anvertrauen würden.
Es kam anders. Die beiden sahen sich, begrüßten sich auf Augenhöhe und gaben sich schon beim ersten randevu vor dem Makromarkt einen ersten herzhaften Kuss auf die Schnauzen. Arap wohnt ab sofort auf der Butterseite von Alanya, in Damlataþ bei Ed. Nicht mehr hinter dem wild schäumenden Dimçay.
Kein verschleppter Schluffen mehr, im Hause irgendwo zu suchen. Kein versteckter Gartenschuh mehr irgendwo zwischen den Rosen. Keine fortgezerrte Decke mehr vom Sofa, kein Sabbel mehr an den Ärmeln, kein freundliches Zwicken mehr in die Wade, keine abgekauten Ohren mehr bei Chris, dem guten Alten. Keine tödlich erschreckten Türken mehr, kein Schubsen, kein Nichts mehr. Außer dem Versprechen von Ed, dem sympathischen Menschen aus Holland, guten Kontakt zu
pflegen. Kein Ende einer Hundefreundschaft mit Arap, der nicht mehr unser Arap ist. Inshallah!

What I wouldnt give to have a debate with you about this. You just say so many things that come from nowhere that Im pretty positive Id have a fair shot.
